Dallas Independent Authors Network Forum

No matter where you are in your writing and publishing journey you can always learn from others who have gone before you or who are where you are now. We have recently formed a sub group called DIAN or Dallas Independent Author's Network in order to focus on creative marketing strategies and take advantage the group dynamics of crowd sourcing. If you are not familiar with crowd sourcing it is very popular now and considered a type of new collaborative creativity. You take the talents and energy of a combined group of people and use that to share the work previous done by one or two.

Come and hear how some members of the DIAN committee have already grouped together for local author events. We also welcome your ideas and comments on how you would like to market books in our local area. Helping each other always helps us in the end. Bring your ideas, questions about self publishing and an open and willing mind and heart to enter into this exciting discussion.

We are meeting from 2-4:30pm on Sunday, November 7 at the Harrington Library in Plano. Please check the address on our website home page as many get lost coming to this Library. If you are a published author, we need you as a part of this group. Be sure to let us know of your interest so you can be invited to participate in future author functions.

Don't forget to RSVP today and out of consideration for those organizing these meetings, please have the courtesy to change your RSVP to No if you find out later that you can't attend. We had about 11 no shows at the last meeting. I hope that never happens again. Admittedly there are unexpected situations that come up making it impossible to attend things we commit to, but if that happens, please take the time to let us know. Our speakers present valuable information for little to no cost at these meetings and they deserve better attendance than that.

Thank you for your continued support of this Meetup group.
