Announcing a new Meetup for DFW MidCities Strobist Meetup Group!
What: Airport Shoot: Take Two
When: Saturday, April 10, 2010 1:00 - 6 PM
Price: $20.00 per person
Where:
Aero Country Airport - T31
4 miles W of McKINNEY, TX
McKINNEY, TX 75069
A great opportunity rarely comes twice folks. The first shoot at the airport was so well received by both this group and our hosts I have been able to arrange a spring time shoot. Another strobist photo shoot at the Aero Country Airport - T31 - A privately owned public use airport located between Frisco and McKinney in the North Dallas Texas Metroplex. A friend of mine has his WWII T-6 there and offered up his hanger (after I asked), aircraft and those of his neighbors.
We will have access to a three hangars this time, with a ton of east facing ramp space, a show stopping Stearman, Harvard, Husky and Bonanza, one ugly, unpainted T-6 and another nicer looking one, and a hanger full of custom cars and roadsters.
Crystal and I will work on getting several models, male and female, make-up artists and hair stylists for this shoot. Pin-up, grunge, nose-art style photography are all possible. If you know any of the above, please have them contact me. If you have any antique aviation or motorcar clothing or other period props, please contact me.
If models ain't your thing the cars and aircraft should be an interesting lighting challenge.
Please remember to label all your gear, the security of your equipment is solely your responsibility.
Additional details as they become available. This event filled up fast the first time so if you are interested in attending the better weather spring shoot sign up now.
This meetup will start at 1pm and go until we're done - most likely at dusk.
