The Scrum Master will be supporting several small POS Terminal Development Scrum teams assigned to building multiple complex POS terminal (embedded) applications. The successful candidate will have a technical background, possess excellent logic and problem solving skills, and possess a drive to make a difference. They will be participating in enforcing the rules of Scrum, removing impediments from their teams while promoting self-management and constantly improving our standards of work.

Responsibilities:
Overall
Is a subject matter expert on Scrum and Agile practices with the ability to train non-Agile team members on best practices
Must be self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks as delegated
Serve as liaison between technical and non-technical departments
Communicate with other management, developers, product managers and technical support specialists on product issues
Must be a team player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment

Support the Development team
Help transition the team from a Waterfall to an Agile methodology without impacting project dates and quality.
Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings
Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress
Maintain process documentation
Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
Assist in the estimation of project resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Drive to continuously improve the team’s process

Support the Product Owner
Assist as needed with backlog maintenance
Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs

Support the Product Team
Assist team with making appropriate commitments through story selection, task definition
Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
Empower the team to self-organize

Support the Development Manager
Provides metrics (through Rally) to the Development manager. Some of the metrics include the number of defects found in QA and Class A, their classification, trends etc.
Work with the Development manager on project priorities, product backlog and sprint logs
Work with the Scrum teams, Product Owner and the Development manager to make sure the projects are delivered on time with high quality keeping the Product Team happy.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or combination of relevant education and experience
Must be a Certified Scrum Master with 2+ years of Scrum Master experience
Proven experience on multiple small Scrum teams required
POS Terminal experience a strong plus
Must have experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies and transitioning teams from Waterfall to Agile.
Experience in Rally highly preferable
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types
Ability to understand technical issues at a high level
Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
Proven ability to work independently with limited supervision and with other department personnel
Must have exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
Must be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
