Choosing a favorite genre is difficult for me. I love mysteries and romances. I adore many YA books. I enjoy biographies and many nonfiction. Some westerns are good, but this is probably my least favorite area. I will read anything except boy on boy, girl on girl, etc. Just not my thing.
I read as many as I can get my hands on. I buy between 8 and 10 each month and have signed up for every freebie, giveaway, or contest I can find. This usually gets me another one or two books a month. I rarely go to libraries because I forget to to return them and would rather spend the fine monies on buying books rather than paying fines. I have only recently gotten into swapping but this is difficult for me because of two reasons: 1. If I buy a book, I usually want to keep it and reread it. 2. many of my books are signed and I don't want to lose these.
I have a Kindle on my computer, but really prefer to have the physical book in hand. I am a restless person and will move from room to room, out into the backyard or front porch...besides, there is just something about a book...
I live just north and west of Denton, so it is about the same distance to Dallas and Forth Worth. I spend some time in Lewisville, Farmer's Branch, and Carrolton. Guess I just don't like going Downtown too often. I seem to get lost downtown.
I am not sure that I have ever had "high tea" let alone know of any tea rooms or restaurant serving them. However, I am willing to try new things so I will wait to add to this section after I have tried a few.
Hi, I am Kelly Knapp. I live in Krum, Texas.
I went to my first "tea room" meeting and had the best time in years. We met with Jade Lee, who is delightful, and got to meet several of the members and those who have created this group. I can tell that they really care about the group, because it was without a hitch...as far as I could tell.
