DOSUG Meeting

OpenShift by Red Hat:

Cloud Computing Platform-As-A-Service

Presented by Steven Citron-Pousty

We'll be having hands-on sessions tonight, so bring your laptop and follow along, or of course, you can simply watch the action unfold!

Here's what the group will be doing under Steve's direction:

1) 10 minutes of learning about PaaS and cloud
2) Then everyone is making a Java (or Python or Node.js) application
3) Then everyone does a quick code change and deploys- they have all now used a PaaS
4) Now we add MongoDB
5) Merge a git repo
6) Do some shell comands
7) Walk through some code.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
