This group is designed for new and experienced parents of 1-month to 1-year-olds in the Dallas area. The group is focused on providing support, education and socialization for parents. Each week we will discuss, explore and learn about a new parenting topic. We welcome moms, dads, adoptive parents, stay at home parents and working parents!

I am a licensed professional counselor with a practice specializing on post-partum depression and anxiety issues. If you think you may be coping with perinatal depression or anxiety issues, this group is not for you; but may be an option for you when your anxiety and depression symptoms resolve. • Group 1 -  Sleeping  ~ Examining your new sleeping patterns  (or lack their of) and a review of sleep techniques for infants. 
• Group 2 - Feeding ~ Looking at the joys and pains of feeding baby.
• Group 3 - And Baby Makes Three ~ Exploring your relationship with your partner as parents.
• Group 4 - Baby Blues and Beyond ~ A discussion of the blues and finding ways to stay emotionally healthy throughout the first year. 
• Group 5 - Social development ~ The importance of play dates and socialization in parenting. 
• Group 6 - Communication ~ Learning how to successfully communicate and set boundaries and goals with your partner and family. 
• Group 7 -  Perfectionism and Parenting ~ Discussion about the expectation of being the perfect parent in the new age. 
• Group 8 - Language development ~ The basics of signing and communicating with baby. 

Cost of Groups $20.00 per adult, per group.
