DTC Area Moms started in September of 2010. The goal of the group is to get mother's of young children together, find friends for our kids and get out and do fun stuff in our local area. The DTC Area of Denver includes Englewood (unincorporated part), Greenwood Village and Centennial areas.

My name is Kat and I took over the group in November 2011 after Cher did a wonderful job starting it and seeing it take of. I have two sons, born in 2007 & 2009 and have lived in Denver since April 2011. The moms in our group are mostly stay-at-home moms or work part time jobs. We have a good mix of moms that have lived here for years, but also many newcomers to Denver. Our kids range in age from newborn to about 4 or 5 years.

We are always open and welcome other moms and children that want to join us. We value kindness and respect. We appreciate it if you are accountable and show up to the meet ups you say you will come. How many meet ups you attend is completely up to you and your schedule.

We have meet ups all the time and try to get at least one get together a week onto our schedule. Between me, our faithful assistant Joyce and Cher (former Organizer) we do a great job at it. Often times we have even more meet ups due to member's involvement and their active part in this group. Our activities are versatile. The foundation is play dates at local play grounds or indoor play areas and member's homes. On top of that we have special occasional events like a visit to the Littleton Museum, a tour at the local Fire Station, going to a pumpkin patch in the fall or whatever we come up with. Every so often we have a mom's night out and just recently started a Book Club that will be meeting every other month (without children present).  Most of our meet ups that involve our kids take place in the mornings during the week.

DTC Area Moms offers a great opportunity to meet local moms, find friends for your kids and get to know your neighborhood with it's parks and it's perks. We have an active discussion forum where we discuss matters that are important to us like preschool, pediatrician, where to find the best Santa in town or what grocery stores we prefer.

As for now DTC Area Moms does not charge it's members and personally, I would like to keep it that way.

I am looking forward to every meet up. Our existing circle of moms is a joy to be around and we would love to get to know you and have you be a part of our group.
