This week's speaker will be Peter Lyons, Web Developer, Social Communications Company. The topic will be "Rapid Feedback Learning."

Pete will introduce the students to several web-based learning applications that emphasize learning interactively and getting immediate feedback. He will discuss the importance of being detail-oriented, tackling small problems, and discovering efficiently.

Pete Lyons works as a web developer specializing in building interactive web applications for early-phase startups. He is currently building an all-javascript web app (still in stealth mode) with node.js, backbone.js, and MongoDB. He has done web development for Social Communications Company and Boulder-based agency Dojo4.

Prior to becoming a web startup junkie, Pete's career was in data center automation software with Hewlett-Packard via the acquisition of Opsware, Inc. Here he led teams building distributed data center automation software for enterprise businesses. Pete's hobbies include playing saxophone in several local bands, performing on aerial fabric, and rock climbing.
