Want to learn some different and new. Working with the big ERP systems doesn't allow you to be a creative. SAP has been moving to more web application that last few years, but I have not had the opportunity to work in that area. Training in SAP has become specialized and expensive. You really need an employer to provide the training. We all know that the technology world is changing rapidly, to meet the demands of consumers. I feel being able to work with RoR will give me a better chance to take advantages of these new opportunities. Colorado doesn't offer that many opportunities for SAP ABAP developer. While Colorado is a hot bed for new start up companies, making it a excellent place to find new opportunities and re-start my career with Ruby on Rails. I can build on my 20 plus years of programming in the IT world. I have a lot of positive things to bring to my new opportunity that awaits me.
I have been programming since 1990, started in COBOL to ORACLE to SAP. My expertise is ABAP for the SAP HCM module with for 10 years. Also taught COBOL at Front Range Community College. Been very active in the Longmont community, a native of CO.
