Troubleshooting memory leaks in Android applications

Learn some of the finer points of the Eclipse MAT and how to wield it to find and remove memory leaks in your applications. The presentation will consist of a high level overview of the tools followed by a real world demonstration with both leaking and correct code from problem detection to solution. We will also cover some best practices pieced together from experience and the web including how to properly use a WebView without leaking, how to use WeakReference, and what to do if a third party library leak is unavoidable.
