Ride of Silence
Details
Ride of Silence happens all over the world as a way to honor cyclists who have been injured or killed on the road. It originally began right here in Dallas, Tx in 2003. I have found this to be a moving experience in the past. Everyone meets and cycles in absolute silence around the lake. At the end the cyclists line up in a formation facing each other and there is a brief closing ceremony. You can find out more about it on www.rideofsilence.org.
Arrive 15 min early to allow for traffic. The ride starts promptly at 7 pm to join the rest of the U.S. and the world. Donations will be accepted on site.
