Dallas Hackers Association - Meetup 2014.01.01/0x0007

Details
Old Business
I know that I said no more "old business" on upcoming meetings, BUT if you weren't at December's meetup then you missed a doozy. Jason (Init6)'s 10-minute talk on bitcoin came close to becoming a "fist of the free market" donnybrook. There was a good infusion of new blood with first time members. As Phillip Wylie noted in a previous message to the group we were even serenaded! It was by far the LOUDEST meetup we've had to date.
Also, Jim Daniel has stepped up to the plate as co-organizer for those times when work sees fit to send me off to distant lands.
New Business
Come out to the 1st security meetup of the year - DHA!
Mathew Crawford will give a talk on one of his areas of expertise - LaTeX. Learning more about this versatile typesetting language has been on my to-do list for some time. If there's interest, it could become a continuing saga.
In the next 3-weeks, my goal is to become a Maltego ninja. I'll share what I've learned.
What will you be talking about?
As always, free wings!
Cheers,
Dustin (wirefall)
