We've been needing a flag to use as a meeting point at various events. We've researched some available ones, made a few others, and would like your opinion. If you care, please vote on one of the following.

The athterisk:

The American Atheists symbol (sort of an A + atom):

Why: http://www.atheists.o...

The Invisible Pink Unicorn:

Why: http://www.invisiblep...
Go ahead, prove it doesn't exist?

PZ Meyer's Infinity A

Why: http://scienceblogs.c...

What Would Fly Spaghetti Monster Do?

Why: Because it's funny (and requires a little intelligence to figure out).

The Basic "?"

Why: Minimal and to the point. Multiple meanings: Why religion? Why righteousness? Why not question everything until evidence exists? The basic tenet of science: Why?

This can be used for table markers, flags at outdoor events, etc. to denote "Over here, it's us!"

I like one of the signs with an "A". The infinity A is really cool, hadn't seen that before.

Had not seen any of these before and appreciate the explanation and background in the Atherisk link. I like both teh Affinity A and the Atherisk. Might be leaning a little toward teh Atherisk. I don't care for bumper stickers, but have been known to use a small window sticker on my car's back window.

I really like the "Out Campaign" scarlet A.
Why: http://www.outcampaig...

It's already an internationally recognized icon, shows that we're a part of a larger movement, and serves the dual purpose of showing our pride and helping to reduce prejudice against us.

Imagery like both the "Invisible Pink Unicorn" and "WWFSMD?" parody religions and serve to alienate us further and increase prejudice. Not the reaction we should want in public fora.

The A or the atomic A are pretty cool!

BTW - did you realize there is a Christian Flag?

I'd prefer the Outcampaign's Scarlet A on a white field.

It's very simple and easy to spot -- which serves the fundamental reason for having a symbol at all -- and it means what it needs to mean without being unnecessarily mocking of religious groups and without any arrogant condescension toward those whose beliefs aren't based on rationality.

The Lambda-Inifity-A (hence known as the LIA) got the most votes. And the flag is underway. Thanks for the votes.
