Speaker: William Kenney

When I first joined the group, I think someone had mentioned that they would be interested in me doing a presentation about my research in genetics. I have a presentation made that gives an overview of genetics, the statistic I am working on, and an example of implementing a very simplified version of genetic simulation in R comparing the speed of for loops versus using apply. This was an actual problem (probably the easiest one to solve) that came up in my research.

Anyone with a background in statistics should be able to easily follow it. Those that don't should be OK for most of it as well. I won't go into too much theoretical detail about anything.

Please come out to network with fellow R members and contributors.
