Discuss, Play and Improve Our Work In Progress Game Prototypes

The DGM location is open for gaming on Thursdays. The Dallas Designers Group will meet the SECOND THURSDAY each month in a semi-private room to discuss game ideas, give advice, play prototypes and even talk about the methods of getting games to publication.

All analog game idea types are welcome.  Analog games include board games, card games, dice games, yard games, etc.  Video Games have been discussed but usually in relation to making an analog version.

Play testers are also needed so, if you enjoy playing innovative, unpublished prototypes, please show up!

A sample of games that have been published by Dallas Designers Group members include:

All, please note that we will be having our monthly designer meetup. This month aligns with the December Gaming Group Gift Exchange. From Tim Kelly, the organizer of the gift exchange ...

    "Don't forget!
This Thursday, ~7.00pm at the DGM location, is the Umpteenth Annual Christmas Gift
    Exchange.

In years past, I've said "Don't get your hopes up! You will NOT get a collector's
item". Since then we've had a 3M "Twixt" and a 3rd Edition "Roads and Boats". I
used to say "Just bring stuff you'd expect to see in play on a 'regular' (whatever
that is) Tuesday or Thursday". Since then, we've had Commodore 64 software and
"Fort Worth-opoly". Clearly, what I say has no effect; it's just like being at
home, only there's not as much wine in the fridge.

    So…
DO bring a new or gently used WRAPPED game.
    YOU MUST SIGN IN WITH ME WHEN YOU ARRIVE ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Don't forget: this is purely voluntary, and 100% tons of fun."

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
