On December 30, we acquired 70 acres of land east of Dallas (Greenville) to build an off-the-grid, sustainable-living ecovillage based on Permaculture Principles and Practices. The first meeting will be Feb 15 at 1 pm.
This organizational meeting is only for people fairly certain they CAN live here if they CHOOSE to live here.
Is this for you? We hope so
But ask yourself these basic questions to get a better idea.....
Do I want to grow my own chemical-free food?
Do I want a private home located in a sharing community?
Do I understand this is an intentional community (IC)?
Do I want to, and am I able to, share the work of building an IC?
Am I ready to consider living off-grid?
Do I make a living either nearby, commuting, or at home?
It does not mean you are committing to this; it means you could commit if you and your family decide this is right for all of you.
There is no charge for this meeting. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your family so we can all meet.
We will spend some time in a question and answer situation indoors. Then, assuming the weather is friendly, all who wish will drive to the ecovillage land and roam the 70 acres as desired. You can leave anytime you wish.
Please call Terry Jensen to discuss this, have your questions answered, and come to a mutual decision for you to attend. You will get a reservation number (required) and the location from her. [masked]
The meeting is NOT for people who want to farm or homestead on their own and NOT for those who want to start an intentional community somewhere else.
