Dallas Wildlife Hiking Group Message Board › IMPORTANT - DINOSAUR VALLEY HIKE

user 9518335
Garland, TX

Mother Nature has struck again. As of this morning, the trails at Dinosaur Valley SP are closed because the river is running too high and crossing could be dangerous. They may re-open the trails in the morning if the water level recedes sufficiently. So, here is the plan: if the trails are open in the morning we will hike as planned. But be certain to bring water shoes and be prepared to get a little wet. Even if the river level is low enough to cross, it will still not be low enough to cross without getting a little wet. Bring somethng to carry your water shoes in after you switch to your hiking shoes for the hike.

If the trails are not open by morning, we will move the hike to Cleburne State Park instead. The trails there are open.

I will post the hike location by 9:00 a.m.
