"Visionary dancemaker Alonzo King will bring a premiere new piece to life by partnering with one of America's leading contemporary companies, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, to perform on stage together with his own LINES Ballet. King has changed the face of ballet and his own company, LINES Ballet, embodies his dynamic and expressive authenticity described as "the most sophisticated modernism in classical ballet." Hubbard Street Dance Chicago's dancers have demonstrated an ability to morph brilliantly through diverse contemporary styles for nearly 35 years. Working with the legacy of a repertoire that includes works by Twyla Tharp and Ohad Naharin, artistic director Glenn Edgerton continues to redefine contemporary dance through this electric collaboration with Alonzo King LINES Ballet."
