I'm really intrigued by this description:
Three exceptional male dancers led by renowned Congolese choreographer and director Faustin Linyekula join with a raucous on-stage band in this fervent celebration of hope in the face of the ongoing legacy of war and ruin in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Set to the blistering poems of political prisoner Antoine Vumilia Muhindo—Linyekula’s childhood friend—more more more… future brings original music by Kinshasa guitar sensation Flamme Kapaya, who mixes infectious, hip-swinging Congolese pop with hefty doses of raging rock.
Hope you'll join me at the REDCAT for an 8:30 performance as well as for dinner at the California Pizza Kitchen at 6:45. (It's Friday and rush hour so I'm allowing extra time.)

The REDCAT is a small venue with open seating and I strongly encourage you to buy your tickets NOW.
The CPK is within walking distance (about 2 1/2 blocks south on Hope St.) from the REDCAT. It is inside the Wells Fargo Center and up the escalator in the building's lobby. There is a public parking lot on Hope St. between the REDCAT and the CPK which is the cheapest nearby parking. You could also park in the Walt Disney Concert Hall lot or at the Wells Fargo Center if you prefer.
The REDCAT is on the corner of 2nd and Hope; that's the southwest corner of the Walt Disney Concert Hall block. The address is 631 West 2nd St., L.A. 90012. If you can't make it to dinner, meet us in the lobby about 8:15 pm and we'll go in together. Otherwise, I'll see you at the CPK at 6:45 pm.
NOTE: This is a shared event with LAWS (L.A. Women's Social group). If you're a member of both groups, please RSVP at only one!
