Welcome to Dancing Bodies, a new ecstatic dance/ moving meditation class in East London.
We danceevery Wednesday at 7pm at the Tour de Force Theatre, 6 Well Street in Hackney.

So... what is Ecstatic Dance?
This is an art of self expression where you get out of your head and into your body. A beautiful healing method which uses movement, rhythm, breath and meditation to help you:
- keep fit and energise your body
- release stress
- clear stuck emotions and facilitate a deep "let-go" experience
- experience a sense of calm, peace and joy
- empower to be present and live life fully
- access a deeper level of being
Ecstatic Dance offers an individual experience. Although we dance in a group the invitation is to allow yourself to surrender to the music and move how you feel. It is your own creative process.
There is no right or wrong way to dance. Just come with an open heart! :-) You will have a truly beautiful experience!
The method is for all, 18+ advised. Wear comfy clothes. We dance with no shoes and no socks on. Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated.

Ecstatic Awakening Dance™ is a method that was developed in 1996 by Amoda Maa Jeevan. Her book "Moving into ecstasy" released in 2001 by Thorsons, was heralded as “the most definitive and comprehensive guide to Trance-Dance”.
Her method has since then grown in popularity and status and now has over 40 teachers across the UK and in Europe. Ecstatic Awakening Dance™ is a time-tested powerful, fun, eyes closed transformational process that can break the spell of separation and re-connect us to a natural state of Ecstasy.
Held in the sanctuary of Sacred Space there is no place for analysing here! Through repetitive beats, movement and breath we nourish and revitalise on a cellular level, Releasing endorphins (the feel good brain chemicals!) Flushing out toxins, stuck energy and emotions. Feet pounding, heart drumming, blood pulsing, feeling the rhythm of our bodies, opening to the infinite source of energy and vitality that is available when we surrender to the flow.
