For Industry Professionals in Theatre, Film, & Television

The Dark Night Crew meet up group meets the last Mondays of each month, and is designed for theatre, film, and television professionals and all those who are interested and intrigued by the entertainment industry. We're cool, collective, creative artists who come together to collaborate, network, learn new skills, and motivate each other.

Our crew is a safe haven for Actors, Directors, Writers, Casting Directors, Producers, and many more who work in the industry as talent, or in a technical capacity. Our members have a wide and varied interests and come together to share resources, support each other, and stimulate ideas for new projects.

We are unique because we look to fashion each meeting based on the attendees interests. Once you RSVP that you are coming to a meeting, we quickly come up with cool ideas for that meetings agenda, so it is very important to RSVP as soon as you know that you are coming so we can customize the evening to your interest. For instance, if we have mostly performers attending, we might invite in professional talent to speak, and provide interactive performance exercises. If we find we have producers coming, we may have a round table of producers concerns, etc.. If we have a nice mix of folks coming from different areas, then you will experience an instant benefit just by showing up and networking.

We are excited to offer our professional studio space at Lau Lapides Company and welcome you in to enjoy a cup of coffee, and a snack in our comfortable studio. We welcome you to come join us whether you are brand new, looking for a safe and trusting environment to expand and explore your horizons, or whether you are a season professional.

Here is an exciting side note for actors or those interested in becoming actors, we now offer professional video taping and playback critique on your work ( monologue, scene, etc. ). One of our seasoned professional actor trainers will offer you immediate, straight forward evaluation to help educate and motivate you on the things you are doing fabulously well with, and the things that needs improvement. So when you email us, we will schedule a performance playback session. It's simple. You will be video taped ( we are happy to provide you with material if needed), we will play it back, and we will talk. This is the safest and most encouraging environment to work on your skills with professionals who are working in the industry. We will also give you a DVD for you to keep.
