Martin John Hadley will take us through how the Wolfram Language can be used to perform data collection, filtering, analysis and modelling.
The Wolfram Language is the computation engine behind Mathematica and the computational knowledge engine Wolfram|Alpha integrated into Apple’s Siri.
Martin will introduce the fundamentals of the language and it’s powerful pattern-based data processing capabilities - in addition to how to model time series, graph and perform machine learning operations.
The session will utilise the free Wolfram Programming Cloud account to provide members the opportunity to learn about the language and how you might use it as data scientists. Register for a free account in preparation at http://www.wolfram.com/programming-cloud/pricin... (http://www.wolfram.com/programming-cloud/pricing/)"
NB: We agreed at the September meeting that this was a big enough subject to take over the whole evening. Alastair's Geospatial Data talk is now being held in January.
