Half the annual energy consumption of the average US home is consumed by space heating and cooling. EcoFactor provides a range of products that can automatically reduce this load without compromising the comfort of the homeowner.

In this talk I'll outline EcoFactor's product and the data that makes it possible. I'll share some of the principles that underpin our optimizations, and outline the infrastructure on which these algorithms run. I'll summarize with some general thoughts on the opportunities and challenges of data science for sustainability.
