About the speaker:

Ramnath Vaidyanathan is an Assistant Professor of Operations Management at McGill University. He holds a PhD in Operations Management from the Wharton School, and has worked at McKinsey and Company. He is addicted to R and has developed two R packages, Slidify and rCharts, both aimed at simplifying the creation and sharing of interactive web-based content with R.

rCharts (http://ramnathv.github.io/rCharts/) allows the creation of dynamic graphical content using a variety of Javascript graphing libraries like d3.js, Highcharts, Leaflet, Rickshaw and others, directly from R using the familiar R syntax conventions

Dr. Vaidyanathan has also developed rNotebook (http://ramnathv.github.io/rNotebook/), an enhanced version of the KnitR Notebook, which allows you to see your Rmarkdown document and the formatted HTML instantaneously side-by-side.
