The speaker is Jeff Fletcher, who is an engineer and new product development specialist at Internet Solutions. He also runs, www.limn.co.za a site dedicated to data and news and resources. There is a general focus on South Africa and African data, and data visualisation technologies and projects. Much of his product development work includes financial analysis for our customers and presentations of the data to help them make effective decisions. The process of providing this type of analysis lead to him study and learn more about the growing field of data visualisation the point that he is now able to use the techniques and technologies outside of the telecoms industry.
