The last time we tried to do this I got sick and had to cancel - hopefully I'll be able to keep healthy long enough to see this one through!!
Biking is a great form of exercise for both you and your dog and being outdoors allows the both of you to enjoy the great weather and scenery summer has to offer! This bike ride will go at a leisurely pace (under 10mph) along the Buckeye Trail in Eastwood Metro Park. These trails are paved and loop around the park for a total of 3-miles. They are relatively flat and great for beginners. There are some areas where the trail is under construction, however. We will meet in the 3rd rectangle-shaped parking lot on the right.
This is an on-leash event. A biking-system and harness is recommended but not required.
Please bring water for yourself and your dog. In the hot summer months it's very easy for your dog to get overheated. Also, please take the time to potty your pooch beforehand (poop and pee). Sometimes a good run helps loosen things up and flush them through ;). Also, bring baggies just in case of emergency pit-stops.
3-miles is a fair distance to travel and good for dogs who are beginner-level to moderately-active with biking.
Hope to see you there! Feel free to post/e-mail me any questions you have!
