Friday Shooters: Piedmont Park After Dark

Bring your picnic dinner and join us for an evening picnic followed by a sunset and nighttime photo shoot at Piedmont Park. Towards dusk, there will be opportunities to catch the sun setting behind the skyscrapers of midtown. As night falls, we can practice with creative long exposures and shoot the lights of midtown reflected in Lake Clara Meer. Bring a tripod and remote shutter release if you have one.

Family members are welcome to join us for the picnic and the fun.

Please be aware that there is a city ordinance prohibiting taking photographs of the aquatic center while the pool is open.

Paid parking (about $5 unless you have a parking card) is available in the Sage Parking Deck. You may enter through the Botanical Garden entrance on Piedmont, or at the Piedmont Park entrance at 1320 Monroe Drive. Alternately, if you can find a space, there is free on-street parking along 10th Street or Park Drive.
