My current pride & joy is a 1989 Mazda RX7 Turbo that I restored. She's a resto-mod, meaning it looks 100% stock but has some discrete modifications that make it perform better and improve reliability. It even won the 1st in show at the annual Deals Gap Rotary Rally in 2010 for the 2nd generation RX7 class. I've been a Mazda rotorhead since the '80s and owned at least one of each generation RX7 since. But I'm not a rotary snob, and I appreciate all kinds of fast machinery on wheels. My current daily driver is a 2014 Mazda 3S GT. Nice little hatchback that is fun to drive and returns great mileage on the daily commute to work.
The annual Deal's Gap Rotary Rally trip. Each year myself and another hundred + rotor heads from all over the country spend a week/long weekend driving the Tail of the Dragon (US129) and a bunch of other great roads in the region with our rotary powered rides. I love the smell of premix in the morning,... smells like...victory!
Tough choice, but I think my favorite all around road is NC-28, aka Moonshiner 28.

Hi, my name is Pete. Been a car nut since I learned how to drive decades ago, and this group sounds like a perfect fit - I've been looking for semi-local car club that actually goes DRIVING!
