PADDLE CANCELLED Explore Sherman Lake - Lunch included

UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO LACK OF SIGN-UPS THIS PADDLE IS CANCELLED

We'll spend a couple of hours paddling and exploring the Sherman Lake Waterfowl Management Area and when we return Delta Kayak Adventures will provide the fixin's for sandwiches along with potato salad and chips. Bring water or sports drink for paddle and your own beverage for lunch.

This area is well known for it's kiteboarders and windsurfers but as fall approaches the winds die down and it is a wonderful place to explore the many sloughs and marsh islands. Waterfowl abound as well as beaver and otters. We may even be treated to spotting some Sand Hill Cranes! Previous paddling experience not necessary. We won't be in a hurry as we meander through the marshes and when we return we can eat some yummy food, hang out and enjoy the company of other paddlers.

Meet at Sandy Beach County Park by 9:45 a.m. for a pre-paddle safety talk and to get waivers signed so we can be on the water by 10:00 a.m.. There are restrooms available and there is also a $5 charge at the iron ranger for day use.
