Link building and Offsite Optimization are incredibly important factors in how your website gets ranked by search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing.

Link building includes both links that occur on your website that link to other websites, also known as "outbound links", as well as links that occur on other websites that link back to your site, or "inbound links".

Search engines take into account how many outbound and inbound links relate to any given Web page when determining their ranking for any relevant search as well as the quality of those links.

Come learn the tips and tricks of how to grow the links to your site and help its offsite optimization.

What is a recommended way to approach other companies to request an inbound link to your site? Or should we concentrate on getting links from blogs?

Chris - You could simply ask, but it is probably better to initiate a relationship. You could start through commenting on their blogs, asking if they might do a guest post on your blog, and beginning to interact with them on LinkedIn or other social media platforms. Then when you talk with them, they might begin to create links to your business as a part of what they do. Does that help?
