Meetup was great. Venue was meh because the acoustics were not very good. Talked to some cool people. Had some goods drinks.

I too had a difficult time hearing. The event would have been much better if we had conference rooms. That said, it was nice to meet some new people.

This was a fun event, with lots of nice people. Learned a lot from the lighting talks.

Any suggestions on parking in the area?

    April 23

    • G. Hussain C.

There's a parking lot on Bannock off 11th that's a few blocks away from Galvanize - I use that; also street parking's around, though I don't know how late the meters are active.

      1 · April 23

    • Julia Allyce P.

Meters and 2hr parking limits end at 6pm. Grab a spot on the street if you can!

What's the food situation going to be like?

    3 · April 23

    • Cory L.

There will be pizza at 6:15. There are a couple of places right around there to get food as well. Cuba Cuba has AMAZING food for anyone who wants to grab a sit down dinner. They are 1 block north on Delaware.

FYI, Sourcegraph will be liveblogging the lightning talks (and subsequently GopherCon): http://gophercon.sourcegraph.com/. Let me know if you wanna help us cover a talk! We did this at FOSDEM, got thousands of visitors, and people seemed to like it!

I live in Denver and will be going tomorrow, looking forward to a great learning experience.

Just a last minute note, if you are running late, don't worry, we are going to be here until 9 or 10 I'm sure. We were granted use of the atrium as well so I lifted the limit so EVERYONE can come!!!!

    Name: An introduction to Consul
Bio: Armon currently works at HashiCorp building developer and ops tools. An open source advocate, he has built tools like Consul, Serf, Statsite, and Bloomd. He is a self-described distributed systems geek and enjoys building practical systems around them.

    Description:

Consul is a new tool for service discovery and configuration. It provides a service level abstraction, health checking, key/value storage and is datacenter

I am staying where GopherCon is being held and won't have a car. What's the best transportation to this event...catch a cab?

    2 · April 17

    • Julia Allyce P.

Cab/Uber/Lyft isn't a bad choice. Its also not so bad if you take the mall ride to Tremont Pl then its just 7blocks to Galvanize.

      2 · April 18

    • Satish T.

I am all for a walk to Galvanize.

Would it be cool if I present the IntelliJ plugin for Go at the meetup as a lightning talk? I need about 10 minutes or so. I can send the slides it needed.

Dang, looks like I'm a little late to sign up for this. Would it be okay to stop by Galvanize to see if folks didn't show and there's room to let me in? :)

    1 · April 15

    • Cory L.

Chris, I'm getting final sponsor budgets in place, and will likely open up the final wait listed people in a couple days, so hang tight, there shouldn't be a problem getting everyone in.

    • Christopher S.

I am based in Delhi (India) but I really like to attend next meetup. Can we put the whole meetup on hangout as well so that all the people who are not there at that moment can see it in real time.

    April 13

    • Cory L.

I am trying to figure out now to regularly broadcast these. We did it once, and was a lot more work than I expected. It might be a few sessions until we get a setup that can do this. I'm open to suggestions of affordable equipment on how to do this. I'm not a video expert.

      1 · April 13

    • Pravin M.

      Hi Cory,

A video expert will suggest better way to manage this stuffs. Mean time, Google hangout will work for us. I done couple of time for my Meetup (Delhi NCR Ruby). As it's new technology and very limited resources are available online. I think, many Dev's would love to join you all on regular basis.

Looking forward to be part of your next Meetup. :)

I bet Iron.IO would buy a few beers. They are huge supporters of Go and a very cool company. Yea, informal hangout would be great.
