It has been a while since I've responded to everyone like this but I wanted to say that I'm proud of the progress we've made in the 2-ish years. I wanted to send out a special thanks to Carl and Wendy for their participation in organizing meetups. I also want to say thank you for all the GMs out there. If you weren't willing to manage a bunch of goofballs like us then we wouldn't have much of a site now would we. I would also like everyone to know that if you want to be a GM then simply send a message to Carl, Wendy, and/or me (Jon). Use the already existing calendar meetups as a template and just be patient. It was literally 3-ish months after I started this meetup before anyone joined Jason, Noel, and I in D&D 2E. Remember the more participation the more justified I feel for paying for the website.
P.s. Someone asked me to setup a Tuesday night game but my other computer (with all the e-mails) lost it monitor. Can you please resend your request to Carl, Wendy, or me?
We are a diverse group of gamers and GMs in Colorado who delight in playing a wide variety of tabletop games in various editions from Shadowrun to D&D to GURPS to Savage Worlds and anything in between that our players are willing to play! The primary objective for this meetup is to act as a clearinghouse or “matchmaker” between GMs and players, or smaller groups seeking additional members, or for starting up whole new groups. New players are always welcome, even if you have never played a tabletop RPG before, please just RSVP to your event and let us know you are new to gaming, or to a specific game system or edition and we’ll help you to get into the game.
If you are interested in having games put up on our calendar please review the "so you want to be an event organizer" post on the message board, then email the group organizers (preferably several) and we’ll be happy to help you figure it out.
**In order to keep away spammers and trolls we require that each member introduce themselves and tell us why they are interested in joining the group. If you do not introduce yourself when you apply to join the group we will decline your membership. Currently several people per day request membership in the group and trying to message/email with and get a response from every single person who doesn't write an introduction is too time consuming.**
