Sept. 30th DFC update!

Hi all! Already into early fall (how did that happen so quickly?) But we are still having a lot of new members join and lots of folks coming to rides (so, if you are new, chances are you are NOT the only person who is at a ride for the first time) Please check the calendar page because even though it is fall, we are still having lots of rides-and will start to do inside spin rides as well:)

Hard to believe that we are almost at 1000 members (when we were only about 250 last August) Thanks to everyone for getting the courage to come out to their first rides and passing the word along to others that we are truly a club that encourages newbies as well as experienced riders. The intent of the club is to have group rides and not be one of the clubs that you drive all the way to the ride start only to get dropped in the first two minutes by the group and you end up riding alone anyway;)

The group does ride year round, but spring and summer are obviously the busier months for rides. Please email me if you would like to become part of the leadership of the club. (jennabike@mindspring.com) (and HELP LEAD SOME RIDES!! :)

DFC welcomes ALL LEVELS..not kidding..(complete newbies, intermediates, and advanced) of road cyclists and mtn bikers. I started out as a super slow person who didn't even know what she didn't know...so I truly love helping others get started or become more advanced:) Please ask me any questions that you have about cycling!

Now, for some "in general" info below regarding DFC...

Our calendar is evolving to have regularly scheduled weekly rides:

Monday and Thursdays are Lookout Mtn Rides (all levels welcome-check calendar for more info)

Friday Nite Fun Easy Social and grab a drink Rides (every other week..check calendar)

And, will be posting different weekend rides and hope to have a biweekly Sunday Social Egg and I brunch ride..so check calendar!

Check out our uploaded "files" section, a document that lists our sponsors and the discounts we receive from them..Please check it out and save yourself some cash! DFC has a growing list of sponsors that benefit members. Go under our "files" tab to get see the discounts that we get.
Currently, the club is supported by Littleton Cyclery, GU sports, Mountain View Pain Center, Midlife Cycling, Back to Center Massage, Celtic Tavern, Egg and I, Jordan Sher Coaching, and J and S Cycling. We are actively looking for other sponsors; if your company would like to be part of the club, please contact me.

If you have a camera, take photos at the rides and post them! I will frequently be uploading any photos from recent rides and events that I have been on so if you don't see your mug on our photos page, crack the whip on me and remind me!

Thanks for joining DFC! It is going to be a great summer:)
