This is just the beginning - Denver Broncos vs Baltimore Ravens

PLAYOFFS???? PLAYOFFS??? Who's talking about playoffs??? Oh that's right? WE ARE!
Happy united in orange week! I hope you've all had a nice two weeks off from football, I know I was beyond restless and bored with last weekend shameful football games along with Alabama playing a AAA football team, but regardless, here we are. It's time for the big boys to step into the Spotlight were they belong and with that comes the Denver Broncos ready to take on the Ravens.
As for the Broncos week off. There was none, players were not allowed to leave and Fox instituted mandatory film sessions and workout sessions leading into practice this past week. What is known is that the team is at full strength! Ryan Clady and Chris Kuper are in full participation in practice, only Tracy porter DNP secondary to a concussion is had 3 weeks ago, but honestly, I doubt he would have started anyways. Willis McGahee was back on the practice field testing his healing MCL and will be eligable next week for the AFC Championship game.
It's been a LONG since the Broncos have been in this position, and when I say long, I mean 1998 long, the last time we won the Superbowl, the last time we were on at least a 10 game winning streak and the last time we held the #1 seed in the AFC. Here are and the name of the game is focus. It's interesting to me that I have to continue to thank past players/coach for putting us in this position now, but this week I will thank no other than Tim Tebow. Now you're thinking, WHY the hell am I thinking Tebow when clearly we have Manning. I spent and hour and half explaining this to my father the other day. Tebow took this team to the playoffs last and unexpectedly beat the 12-4 Steelers and made it to the Divisional round. What that did for the team is given the young players including Decker, Thomas, Harris, Miller, Carter, Moore etc an idea of what it is like to: 1. Win a Playoff Game, 2: to lose a playoff game and your season be over and 3:Realize what hard work is necessary to move through the playoffs against the best of the best. This week has all been about FOCUS and breaking down every little flaw and creating an idea of perfection within the team.
This game is no cake walk as the Ravens do have an improved defense with the return of a few players since the previous time we played them. However, they have made a fatal mistake in that John Harbaugh will bring the team in late as possible to negate the effects of the Mile High Alttitude. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of, I really do expect those players to be beyond gassed through the first half of this game. The biggest concern as it was last time is stopping Ray Rice. Ray Rice is the foundation and key to this offense. Last meeting he ran 12 times for 38 yards and the Broncos have ended up with the #2 defense in the league overall with the #3 rush defense. In addition, score early and score fast will force Flacco into throwing the ball which always WolfeVonDoom to be unleashed. It has been the unstoppable combination of offense and defense this 11 game winning streak and expect no different. I have a feeling that given the change, the Broncos may run up the score, particulary because a Statement needs to be made to New England about coming to Mile High, about the team we are now, not the team we were.
MIKE has done something extra special for us for this kickoff of our post season! There will be free Brunch and free Fat tire from 11-12 at PQ, so if you'd like to come to hang out, clearly I will be there at 11 as it's the best place to be on what is suppose to be a beautiful Saturday, please stop by. Also, it will get crowded people I can guarantee you this. Last year's playoff games were packed upstairs and downstairs and outside. Lastly, I was contact by the Denver Broncos themselves, yes, I am serious and they are sending a Swag package to us. Do I know what's in it? No, but WHO THE HELL CARES! Regardless, it's first come first serve for the stuff they are sending over. All they ask in return is pictures they can put up on Denverbroncos.com!
So come one, come all, and continue to be a part of something epic this season! I know you all feel it like I do! What's better than 11-0? 12-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am a Broncos fan and I believe. I believe in Mile High Magic and Bleed Orange and Blue. I celebrate the drive and the Mile High Salute. I create the THUNDER, share in the common dream and will forever be a proud citizen of BRONCOS COUNTRY!"
