How do you use Java?

I use the JVM via Clojure lately. Java the language is "long in the tooth", but the JVM and much of the ecosystem is still great.

What do you hope to get out of the Denver Java Users Group?

Same as always: Interesting presentations. Great to see that it's back downtown. I used to attend at the Tivoli, but I never attended at Lowry -- too far to take the bus from Boulder.

I've been writing Java for about 14 years, but would like to develop mobile apps. I've been doing iOS development for about a year, and would like to know how Android compares, esp. when using other languages on the JVM, like Clojure, Groovy, etc.
