After-work trail care with Minicrew

Details
After-work trail care with MiniCrew. This is a great way to give back to the sport without giving up an entire weekend day. Plus it is fun!
Location: Chimney Gulch, near where 19th St turns into Lookout Mountain Road.
We will meet in the parking lot at the start of Lookout Mountain Road, near the stone column / arch structure. Then we will shuttle up to the trailhead, at the first point where the Chimney Gulch trail crossed Lookout Mt Rd on the way up. We will then hike uphill to the work site.
You will need to dress as you would for a two hour hike, prepared with work gloves, water, and a jacket or rain slick just in case.
The mini-crew program was started by mountain bikers and is designed as an “after-work-couple-of-hours” trail session. Our events fall on the 3rd Thursday of each month, from May until September.
We focus on specific tasks assigned by Jefferson County Open Space (JCOS) that support the trail maintenance activities for the JCOS work crews and staff. Our events provide all trail users an opportunity to actively participate in the support and maintenance of the trail systems, as well as a chance to spread good will to all trail users we encounter.
Minicrew happens every third Thursday during the season. This year, this makes the schedule:
May 22nd
June 19th
July 17th
August 21st
September 18th
