This Sun 12/2 come to Colorado Springs for an epic ride!

Here are some details for Sunday's ride, feel free to pass it along to whomever might be interested. Oh, BYOB and BBQ food; we'll be hanging after the ride right on the creek in my backyard. Start location is 1503 1/2 W. Cheyenne Rd. 80906 and people can email me ( or call &719-491-9745 if they want more info.

Meet between 8:15 and 8:30 hoping to start rolling 8:45ish. Some may drive to lot at the top of Cheyenne Canon (end of pavement) to save some distance and climbing. The basic route is to ride through Stratton OS and up the Chutes to Gold Camp. We'll ride Gold Camp all the way to where Old Stage (FS368) joins and keep going up past St Peter's Dome. We'll turn Right at the Wye campground to climb FS381 to singletrack 626 that connects over to FS379. FS379 goes through Frosty's Park to the Trailhead. We ride north on Forester (701)trail all the way until it turns East on 667. We'll climb out of Bear Creek to stay on 667 down to Captain Jack's (665). From there it most likely be down a little bit of GC back to the Chutes.

The main group will be climbing at a very social pace. That said, myself and some others may add quite a bit of extra trails and climbing to the route on the way to Frosty's (more singletrack in Stratton, Spring Creek, Columbine, part of St. Mary's, and a secret trail down to Old Stage). There is even a chance of climbing a good bit higher and dropping a very steep, sort of secret trail on to Forester from much higher. All routes will be great and be pretty high altitude, especially for December. - Kip
