Derivco Dev Night 2014

It's the first Dev Night of 2014 and we're starting it off with a BANG!

This year we have a lot to offer Durban's Dev Community and we don't want you to miss out. The event is 6.30pm for 7pm.

There will be food, beverages and a gift for the first 50 through the door! The evening's line up looks like this:

To qualify for the Oculus Experience please ensure that you are at Derivco at 6.30pm sharp when the names of 3 lucky guests will be ‘drawn from the hat’.

We will also showcase the awesome Leap Motion, nifty Smart Watch and interactive Augmented Reality (AR) Cards. Derivco's Rob Thompson will present his topic 'Extending SQL Server's Capability using SQL CLR Functions and Procedures', covering how SQL CLR Functions and Procedures are created using C#, how C# can be utilised to extend SQL Server's Functionality and allow it to integrate with external systems.

An external speaker, Matt Cavanagh of RogueCode, a local Windows Phone Dev MVP & author of Netduino Home Automation, will present a session on the Netduino prototyping platform. The session will go from a platform introduction to a sensor input adjusting the luminance of an LED with proximity.
