About Amit Krishn Gulati

Amit Krishn Gulati is an industrial designer, entrepreneur and design educator with a multifaceted oeuvre encompassing new product development, healthcare, hotels, branding, retail experiences and spaces. Amit graduated from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad in 1995 and is the founder of Incubis, an architecture and design studio.

Working closely with start-ups is a passion for Amit. He is one of the founding investors at Barista, India’s pioneering espresso retailer and at Eye-Q - a successful and fast-growing chain of eye hospitals targeted towards low-income patients in small towns. Amit teaches at The School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi and at his alma-mater, NID.

About Monika Khanna Gulati

Monika Khanna Gulati is a communication designer and educator with over eighteen years of diverse experience as a design management consultant, advertising executive and founder of SkyBLUE Design. She is a visiting faculty of Visual Communication at the Sushant School of Design, Ansal University, Gurgaon, India.

For the past few years, Monika has been spending a lot more of her time on community waste management issues with neighbourhoods and organizations in Gurgaon, spreading awareness and taking action-on issues of resource optimization, segregation at source, recycling and organic composting. NCR Waste Matters - a highly-motivated and energetic community of volunteers is the outcome of this drive.
