The time has come for the first Detroit Javascript meetup!

The first meetup will be a kickoff with people discussing what they want out of the group, and how the meetup should be shaped to benefit the most people. Then we'll have a set of lightning talks (https://github.com/DetroitJS/Meetup-1-talks).

abstract: Reduce dependencies and simplify the build pipeline by using the task runner that's built into your package manager. Create a tight feedback loop of change -> compile -> test 𝄇 without needless abstraction.

Fun with JavaScript arrays

abstract: Prefilling a JavaScript array with values, or, the one useful use of the Array constructor (mit apply() special sauce), or, ES6/ES2015 fixes all of this anyhow.
