I have been a paralegal since 1992. I started working for Staver & Associates in 1999 as a paralegal, promoted to Administrative Assistant and was put in charge of the Loan Modifications Department. I was heavily involved in the development process for NetLaw, Inc. (online video conferencing with a client through the attorney's website) and now I am the marketing director for our firm as well as getting other attorneys to see the value of NetLaw for their firms.
The Internet has allowed our world to become international, literally. Global communication is now a given. The legal field has been slow and resistant to this concept. It is time for attorneys to accept the fact that it's time to bring "the practice of law" into the 21st century.
Do other early adaptors, attorneys and law students out there believe that the time has come for attorneys to practice law online and make money while doing it? If there are attorneys out there who do not have a website of their own or a merchant service account to collect funds from their clients, we can set you up with that.
