Sara Gibbons: A Rubyist Startup Toolbox

The tech growth in Metro Detroit is greater than it has ever been. Bringing millions of investment dollars into the area, ready to help launch the next big start ups. Ruby continues to be the language of choice for most tech startups, but not a popular language in Metro Detroit. We’re going to talk about what us local Rubyists need in our “toolbox” to meet this start up demand, and to be able to dive right into a startup opportunity with full force.

About Sara Gibbons:
Born in raised in metro Detroit, Sara has been developing software since she took a C++ in college to help a friend. After starting out working for the big three she gradually downsized, and eventually landed in the world of startups, where she full embraced her love for agile development. Sara has earned her stripes in many programming languages, but has been pretty exclusive with Ruby since she first opened a pickaxe book.
