Hello Dev's, Let's get this year started with a workshop on AngularJS 2 and TypeScript. I look forward to seeing this and I hope the rest of you do as well. Hope to see you there. Details: TypeScript is a free and open source programming language developed and maintained by Microsoft and other contributing developers. TypeScript is a typed superset of JavaScript that compiles to plain JavaScript, and allows you to write JavaScript the way you really want to (Microsoft). Angular 2 is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications that is developed and maintained by Google and other contributing developers. Angular 2 is currently in Beta. Sheldon Barnes was born in Kingston, Jamaica. Sheldon wrote his first “Hello World” in BASIC and fell in love with programming after learning that he could “tell his computer what to do”. Little did he know that a gift from a Father to his sons would lead to a passion for computers and programming.
One day Sheldon and his older brother found an X86 computer in a trash can outside of a bank in Springfield, Massachusets. Leading up to High School he learned about DOS, Linux, BBSes (Bulletin Board Systems), and the Internet. His favorite zines during the BBS era were Phrack and 2600.
During his High School years, he was a member of the Computer Club at the High School of Science and Technology where he participated in regional programming competitions at local colleges, passed his Advanced Placement Computer Science Exam, and earned the opportunity to be an intern at MassMutual Financial Group. After migrating to Indianapolis in 2010, Sheldon worked at First Databank, and Exact Target (acquired by salesforce.com). Sheldon is now a Systems Consultant at One America.
