Esri Dev Meet Up, San Diego - It's at the UC!

Due to the overwhelming popularity of this event, we have created a waiting list. When you arrive at the event, please check in. Unfortunately, if you are not checked in by 6pm, we will begin allowing those on the waiting list, who have checked in, in to the event.

We will be hosting an Esri Dev Meet Up at our User Conference in San Diego, taking place Wednesday, July 25th. Food and beverages will be provided at the Dev Meet Up!

This Dev Meet Up is a social gathering for developers to discuss geospatial technologies, complementary third-party tools, and development platforms (e.g., Silverlight, Java, Flex, JavaScript) that are supported by Esri. Presentations run the gamut of our community: from Web development to mobile location development for iOS, Android and Windows Phone 7 to automating tasks with Python.

Developers of all levels of expertise are welcome, from seasoned GIS professionals to those new to geospatial development.

At these meet ups, you can:

Demonstrate your application or framework.
Present an interesting concept or idea.
Share your experiences.
Connect with other developers.

Nice to see @davebouwman taking his mobile talk on the road with this one... caught a video of a similar talk of his recently and as usual Dave rocked it! Worth the free admission alone! ;0)

I'd be interested in speaking with any developers about their experiences with ArcGIS Java SDK. I've done a bit of work building Eclipse plug-ins for ArcView Map tooling and am always looking for new ideas and solutions to issues with the SDK.

Hello everyone, I am looking forward to this meetup and hope to meet people who are interested in leveraging the computational capabilities in the Cloud to develop interesting applications that were previously not possible. It would be interesting to discuss potential use cases giving the rapidly changing capabilities of these systems. I hope to learn a lot from your perspectives and the challenges to avoid.

Hi Ken! We are excited to have you join us! These developer meet ups are user-focused, so it's great that you brought up topics that you are interested in hearing more about. This lets others who might be interested in doing a lightning talk know what they might want to focus their presentation on. So thanks for getting the conversation started! Anyone else have any topics they are interested in hearing about from other developers?

To start this conversation I would like to say hello and that I am excited about this opportunity to meet others and see how they are using the various GIS programming languages to further GIS within their industry. I am extremely interested in seeing how HTML5 can be used in conjunction with the ArcGIS Javascript API to create cross-platform applications and Esri plans on giving us more insight in how to create these applications.
