The August DevTank follows the now tried and tested format, and will be on the 18th August as MOO's offices. We have another great line-up of speakers, plus the usual beer and pizza.
For the technology section, we have Perl guru Curtis "Ovid" Poe. He is a CPAN author, a TPF Steering Committee Member, and the TPF Grant Committee Secretary, and will talking about "Why Ruby, BETA, Java, C#, Eiffel, Dylan, CLOS, and Python FAIL at inheritance"
Having looked at VC funding from both the startup and VC perspective over the last two meetings, the next two will be doing the same for PR. This month we have Huddle's own Lucy Wimmer letting you in on the secrets of Huddle's PR success, and lined up for October we have Mike Butcher (Editor of TechCrunch Europe) on what he is and isn't interested in hearing from you about.
The agenda will be as follows:
6.30 - 7.00 Arrive and grab a beer
7.00 - 7.45 Ovid, "Why Ruby, BETA, Java, C#, Eiffel, Dylan, CLOS, and Python FAIL at inheritance"
7.45 - 8.30 Beer, pizza and chat
8.30 - 9.15 Lucy Wimmer, "Making your startup newsworthy"
9.30 onwards adjourn to the pub
Many thanks to Wahanda for providing the beer and pizza again this time. Wahanda is a health, beauty and wellness community & marketplace that connects consumers, wellness businesses and professionals through content, community ratings & reviews and commerce.
And thanks to MOO for letting us use the fantastic Moo Studios again - we're hoping for great weather so we can head out on to the terrace for beers.
