#CodeGoodSunday featuring Quill

Start contributing to an open source project this Sunday on the CodeMontage platform. Work on our featured education project, Quill, or the many other apps in fields like open data, international development, and civic engagement.

*** Featured Project
-- Education: Quill -- Quill is a web-based tool that provides personalized, interactive grammar lessons for middle school students. [ Technologies: Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, JavaScript ]

If you’re new to open source, this is the place to get started. We’ve chosen a handful of tasks from our featured project to make it easy, and you'll work directly with Peter Gault, the lead on Quill.

If you love working on open source projects or just want to see what it’s all about, we hope to see you at the Flatiron School this Sunday. Help us build excitement by tweeting what open source project you want to work on this Sunday. Use the hashtag

Quill uses Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, and JavaScript, and there's a virtual machine option for anyone who doesn't have a compatible set up: https://github.com/empirical-org....

The install process takes about 45 minutes and we only have 3 hours to code, so please follow the instructions linked above BEFORE Sunday if at all possible.

Thanks! Looking forward to seeing you there!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
