Digital Edge 13: The long awaited return

Hope you're all doing well, it's been a while!

Digital Edge has been on a bit of a hiatus while we've finished a huge office move and incredibly busy period. But it's back!

We're giving you plenty of warning for this one, it's on July 24th at 7:30pm, at an amazing new venue, the new Abstraktion/Blue beck offices on George St. We'll be posting details of entry to the venue nearer the time.

To kick off our return, we've got an exciting panel around Intellectual Property, something that's a powerful subject for anyone creating assets for clients or in fact their own digital products. The panel will consist of:

Michael Henderson, an experienced insurance broker, with almost 15 years commercial insurance experience, including several as an underwriter of Media and Technology risks for Hiscox.

and

Mark Kershaw, who's worked in insurance for almost 10 years and now specialises in Professional Indemnity for creatives in the media and tech industries.

The panel will give you a great platform to discuss all things IP related, including:

• What is Intellectual Property?
• What could go wrong when I design something?
• What are the risks of someone else stealing or using my IP?
• How important are contracts, terms and conditions?
• How can I protect myself and my business?

As it's the first event at the new Abstraktion HQ, there'll be plenty of free booze too, so hope to see you there!
