Introduction
This is a 3 hour phototrip that will begin at English Bay on the West End of Vancouver. The word phototrip is short for “photographic daytrip”. This phototrip is an interactive learning opportunity with a limited number of people guaranteeing 1-on-1 tuition. Hands-on photography is an effective method for gaining skills that will advance your photography immediately.
What will you learn on this phototrip?
The Rule of Thirds Balance in your images Leading Lines Symmetry, patterns and shape Viewpoint Background Depth Framing Cropping Experimentation At the end of this photorip you will have beautiful images of sea, beach, mountains and buildings along English Bay. The techniques you will learn on this phototrip will provide valuable insight into taking your photography to the next level.
What should I bring on this phototrip?
Camera - A DSLR would be preferable, but any camera that has a manual function could be used Tripod Lenses – learn to work with the lenses you have Good walking shoes, toque, gloves, jacket, umbrella, old towel Pen and paper - you may want to take notes. Detailed course notes will be emailed to you after the phototrip. How much does it cost?
This phototrip will cost $ 45.00 per person for 3 hours of tuition; course notes and tea/coffee and cookies

How do I get to the English Bay?
English Bay is on the western side of Vancouver, near Stanley Park.
Buses: From Granville Street, you can catch bus 005 going toward Denman Street down Robson St. The bus will turn into Denman Street and you can get off at Pendrell St. There is also bus number 006 from downtown runs along Davie Street.
Car: You can drive along Pacific Street until you get to Denman street, you can find parking in that area.
