Photoshop Elements Basics

How does Photoshop Elements stand up to the full version of Photoshop? You'll be surprised. At our next meeting you'll learn the basics about Photoshop Elements and how to use it for some whimsical fun as well as some serious photo editing. We'll be learning about layers and using masks for levels, brightness-contrast, hue saturation adjustment  levels, and unsharp mask sharpening using a darks luminosity mask.

Roger Gottlieb will not be joining us at this time.

We will be holding our monthly meeting at the library on Grand Street instead of the Branch at the Newburgh Mall.  From March on, our monthly meetings will be held at the library. We are out-growing the space at the Library Branch in the Newburgh Mall.

I enjoyed the presentation. Learned a few things PSE could do that I was not aware of. Would love to see other parts of the Adobe suite explored - i.e. Lightroom & Photoshop CS. Or even a discussion of others' "workflow."

I had taken your PSE Boces class a couple of years ago, but since I don't use the software too often, it gets away from me, so this was a good refresher.

We are going to the Sterling Hill Mining museum on March 22nd where they have lots of rocks that illuminate under a UV light or black light. I will be discussing how we can setup our cameras to take these unique photos. If all goes well, I'll have a black light and some special paint that glows under a black light that we can photograph.
