Town of Wallkill Photography Display

We have been invited to display our photography at the Town of Wallkill Town Hall. There is room for about 35 prints. If you are interested in displaying your work at the Wallkill Town Hall, please contact Jeff Montanye ([masked]). Please email Jeff some sample images that you will be hanging so a flyer can be prepared.

We will be hanging on Thursday, May1st from 3pm to 5pm.

A reception date is planned for May 30th, 1pm. We will be removing our work after the reception. Please invite your friends and family. Bring a snack or beverage to share.

Prints should be matted, framed and wired for hanging. We will have a spool of wire and cutters there for those who need it.

We will be hanging the prints in the four main hallways of building "A", the first building on the lot. Park near the dial-a-bus to the right. We'll be entering a doorway on that side.

I took a picture of a tortoise in the Galapagos Islands, can I submit it? I have it framed, but not matted? Carol

Our group is photography in the Hudson Valley. The sign says Hudson Valley photography. But if you don't have any Hudson Valley related photos I'll let your turtle slide in :-)

Do we have a hanging date yet or are we hanging at the reception?

Sorry, I've been swamped. I'll call them Monday morning and iron out the details. I'll post any information I get tomorrow.

I contacted the town hall and everything is a "go" for this Thursday to hang our work. As always, I've been very busy and the time raced up before I was ready. I haven't had any time to plan a reception. Because this event can only be viewed during business hours during the week (9-5), I think that we should consolidate and have the reception on the same day that we take our work down. That will give us all month to plan and invite people. We can have the reception at 1pm to 3pm on Friday, May 30th, then begin taking things down. How does that sound? Any volunteers to make a flyer?

The hours are terrible but it has to be when they are open. There is nobody there after hours or on weekends.

Understood, not your fault. I guess that I can't make it then. Its a good opportunity for everyone, so well worth it. Have fun guys.

How many are we allowed to enter to this one? I'm very interested in do another show with every one. The last show was a good learning experience and I think being in a group takes some of the pressure off.

There is not as much room here as there was at the Library. However, we haven't had as many people sign up for this one so you'll probably be able to hang about 5 or 6 prints.

The first show was great so I definitely will bring prints to this one. I look forward to meeting everyone again.
